I've heard the testimonies of the successful
I've seen the victory of those who've strived
Yes... I know success though not of my own,
I've seen the brave achieve
And longed to be like them
I dreamt silently inside
To afraid to try and fail
Never believing that it could be me
Yet I knew I wanted to
I knew I wanted to taste victory,
To feel the sweet aura of success, to be great....
Deep within I yearned
Hoping someday it would be me.
Today here I stand, having believed in my own strengths
Having the faith to stand, to take that step
Having the will to see it through
Today here I stand having attained
Though it took a few, yes many tries
Today I stand victorious.
Yes today I stand and can testify to my own success
Today I feel like the great men
Whom I use to look up to and smile
Knowing I to have made it
I have attained
